I am a tenant, how do I contact the leaseholder through Wellcee?
- To contact the leaseholder, you only need to complete your basic information and a self-introduction, you can then chat directly with leaseholders on Wellcee App.
- To not miss messages from the leaseholders, please make sure you have notifications turned on for Wellcee App.
Why can’t I receive mobile phone verification code?
- First, we recommend that you double-check if the phone number & country code you entered are correct.
- If you are in a foreign country (outside of China), this process may take slightly longer.
- If you still can't receive the verification code, please contact hello@wellcee.com, we will sort it out for you.
What is the Signing Lease Online (Optional)?
- In our experience, the Signing Lease Online service can effectively avoid disputes between leaseholders and tenants throughout the rental process.
- Wellcee secures the deposit until the end of the tenancy.
- The rent needs to be wired to the leaseholder by the tenant directly. (The tenant pays the deposite upon signing online)
- If you encounter a rental dispute, Wellcee will participate in conciliation to ensure fair settlement for both parties.
I signed the lease online. How do I get my deposit back?
- At the end of the tenancy, the leaseholder shall return the deposit (click “Return Deposit” on the “My Listing” page); The deposit will be returned to the tenant's payment account directly.
- If there are any unresolvable issues terminating the tenancy, Wellcee will participate in the final conciliation to ensure fair settlement for both parties.
- If the leaseholder does not agree to your application, you can request a refund of the rental deposit and service fee at any time.
What should I do when there are no replies to the messages I send?
- If you are in a hurry to rent a place, it is recommended to contact more leaseholders who are recently active.
- Wellcee also provides “SMS Push Notification” for tenants to reach the leaseholder faster. This service will allow your messages on Wellcee also reach the leaseholders though their SMS, which often results in faster response from them.
- Wellcee has thousands of listings updated every day, but high-quality personal listings usually get many requests rather quickly, so it is recommended that you check the housing list more often.
Why do I have problems using Wellcee App/Website?
- Some users might encounter problems with Wellcee App, we recommend that you update the App to the newest version first.
- For new users, we recommend that you upgrade to version 10.0 or above (Android) and version 15.0 or above (IOS).
- For PC users: we recommend that you use Chrome or Safari browser.

Why does it take a long time to open the page?
- If you are outside of China, the delay may be due to restrictions. We are currently configuring overseas servers.
- If you are in China, we recommend that you turn off your VPN.
How do I make my listings more popular?
- We recommend that you clean the room properly and take clear and nice pictures.
- Having a detailed introduction about you and your place helps potential tenants deciding if you are a good match.
- Having the introduction in more languages will allow more users to know you and your place better.
- If you share your listing on WeChat Moments, Facebook your listing will automatically appear on top (up to twice a day!).
- Wellcee offers the Listing Promotion service for those who want to rent out the room fast, we will promote your listing in targeted renting groups on social media like WeChat, FB etc., which has helped many users to rent out in a shorter time period.
Why can't I send messages sometimes?
- IM chat may be unstable in some network environments.
- We recommend that you switch to a stable network environment and try again.

Money security
- We do not recommend that the tenant bypass the Wellcee platform and transfer the money to the landlord before checking the room or signing a formal contract!
- In order to avoid losing your deposit, we recommend that you use Wellcee's online contract, the platform will secure your deposit till the end of the tenancy.

Why do I need to verify my listing?
- Wellcee pays close attention to the management of the user trust system. If the system requires that your listing needs to be vertified, the reasons may be as follows: you are a new user posting your listing for the first time on the platform; your listing has received complaints by users; you have changed your login IP/device several times; your listing photo is identical of another user's photo... If your listing verification fails, your certification fee will be refunded; if the certification is successful, the listing will be displayed on Wellcee normally.
Why was my listing taken down even after it was successfully verified?
- Your listing may be removed from the system for the following reasons: your listing recived report for charging agency fee; the listed pictures or price do not match the actual apartment condition; harassing users; you have been inactive for a long time and did not reply to the user's message...
Should I give the landlord a security deposit?
- During the rental process, a security deposit is generally used to lock in the property, meaning that the tenant ensures the landlord won't accept other tenants through the deposit. If you decide not to move in after paying the deposit, the landlord will suffer corresponding losses. Therefore, Wellcee recommends that if you are unsure about renting the property, you should not pay the deposit!
