Wellcee is a no-middleman rental platform where landlords and tenants can communicate directly, view properties, and sign contracts without paying any agency fees. The platform mainly attracts young users, and its listings include direct rentals from individual landlords, shared housing with roommate searches, and sublets.

As the platform grows, the proportion of current college students among its users has been steadily increasing. This group typically has limited budgets, prefers short-term and sublet rentals, and has higher expectations for landlord trustworthiness. However, the platform previously lacked an effective way to verify student status, making it difficult to carry out targeted operations for this group. To address this, Wellcee has officially launched a student verification feature to provide exclusive benefits and services for college students.

I. Exclusive Benefits for Verified Student Users

Upon completing student verification, users can benefit in the following ways:

• Expanded Chat Capacity – Allows student users to contact more landlords simultaneously, improving rental search efficiency.

• Student Identity Badge – Helps landlords quickly recognize verified students. Many landlords prefer renting to students, as they are seen as more reliable and stable, with lower communication costs.

• SMS Instant Notifications – Ensures users don’t miss out on high-quality listings due to overlooked messages.

• Full Browsing History – Makes it easier for students to review and compare multiple listings before making an informed decision.

Additionally, the introduction of student verification signals that Wellcee may launch more exclusive events and benefits for student users in the future, with verification being a prerequisite to access these offerings.

II. Eligibility for Student Verification

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Full-time college students (including associate degree, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs)

• Aged between 18 and 26

• Hold a valid student ID, campus card, or CHSI (China Higher Education Student Information) screenshot

• Each user can verify only once.

III. How to Verify as a Student

The verification entry is located on the "Profile" page of the Wellcee App or mini-program. Tap on "Student Verification" to begin. The entire process takes just a few minutes and consists of three steps: selecting your institution, entering your graduation year, and uploading a photo of your student ID or related document.

The system will automatically recognize and review the information. Once approved, users can claim a 7-day tenant membership. The membership can be claimed within 90 days of successful verification.
Student users can also access the verification page directly via an invitation card shared by campus ambassadors or friends.
